Environmental Stewardship Plan
Thank you to everyone who took a survey, attended a community workshop, participated in an online townhall, and provided feedback on the plan.
The Environmental Stewardship Plan was adopted by City Council in December, 2020. We look forward to working with you on implementing the plan.
A big THANK YOU to all the people and organizations who have taken our surveys, asked questions, submitted comments, attended events, and more. After nearly two years of work and lots of feedback, the Environmental Stewardship Plan was adopted by Council on December 14, 2020.
We are now shifting gears towards implementing the plan, and will have new opportunities to learn and engage soon. We will save this site as an archive of the planning process and engagement we received.

The City of Bellevue is working with the community to update our Environmental Stewardship Plan. The plan has five focus areas - Climate Change, Energy, Waste, Mobility & Land Use, and Natural Systems. We have set bold goals and now it's time to talk about how we're going to achieve them.
We’re looking at research and best practices from around the world, but we want to hear from you too. If you have an idea to help residents and businesses recycle more, conserve water, use more public transit, make homes more energy efficient, here's the place to share it.

Tree Care Referrals
Create a set of tips or referrals/licensed list for care of unhealthy trees. Refers could be from a built green type certification or at least a list of questions to ask to verify a good tree service.

engage bird watchers
Determine the difference that trees make to a site by having volunteer bird watchers monitor sites before and after development.
