Community engagement for the update to Bellevue's Environmental Stewardship Plan began a year ago.
We have heard from residents, business owners, non-profit leaders, and other stakeholders through community workshops, surveys, focus groups, pop-up events, and more.
Please join us for an interactive town hall where we will share the Draft Environmental Stewardship Plan, answer questions, and tell you how you can provide feedback as we move towards city council review and adoption.

Please join Environmental Stewardship Program Manager, Jennifer Ewing, to learn more about how the city is address climate change, helping residents and businesses reduce their carbon footprint, and plan for a resilient future. She will share information and take questions.
VIRTUAL TALK: Climate Anxiety: Staying Engaged Without Getting Overwhelmed 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Extreme weather, wildlife struggling to survive, rising sea levels – our world is under stress like never before. And that stress takes a toll on our well being. The challenges seem overwhelming at time. The City of Bellevue and Bellevue College are pleased to host Dr. Jennifer Atkinson of UW Bothell in a virtual discussion on how to stay resilient in the face of climate change and how to channel concern into action. She will be joined by Jennifer Ewing the City of Bellevue’s Environmental Stewardship Program Manager, who will talk about what the city is doing to address climate change and how residents can get involved.
Environmental Stewardship Plan Open House
The Environmental Stewardship Plan plan serves as the city's road map for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and securing our future as a healthy, livable, sustainable, and prosperous city in a park.
The Open House is a drop-in event where you will be able to:
- Learn more about the potential actions the city is considering
- Share your ideas for how the city can promote sustainability
- Discuss your priorities in small focus group conversations
Doors will open at 5:30 PM and you can drop-in at any time until 8:30 PM.

Sustainable Bellevue - Community Workshop
Environmental stewardship is one Bellevue’s core values. The City is excited to work with community members and businesses to help them reduce their impact on the environment, save money, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The city's Environmental Stewardship Plan sets out a roadmap for achieving our goals. We've just started the process of updating this plan and we want to hear from the community.
Please join us on Tuesday, October 1st for a kickoff community workshop to learn more about the ESI plan, share your vision, and help shape our priorities.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and the program will begin at 6:30 pm.
