Wednesday, May 26th at 6:30pm the Bellevue Planning Commission will hold its first of two study session on the Draft Neighborhood Plans for Northeast and Northwest Bellevue. Meeting materials and link to the meeting can be found at the Planning Commission web page. 

Members of the public are welcome to watch the meeting, which will be held via Zoom or provide public comment. To sign up to provide public comment during the meeting, visit the Planning Commission web page. You must sign up by 5:30pm the day of the meeting.

If you are unable to attend the meeting or would like to submit written comment you may do so by sending an email to planningcommission@bellevuewa.gov.

The next step in Great Neighborhoods is the creation of a Neighborhood Profile. This section combines narrative and data to describe present conditions and future trends. To help create this section we’ll be doing a Data Walk. A Data Walk is an interactive way for community members to learn about their neighborhood and begin to identify strengths and challenges they want to see addressed in the plan.

During a Data Walk participants have time to look at their neighborhood through the lens of data – what do the numbers say about housing, transportation, parks, safety, and the people living there – and then engage in conversation to help understand the stories behind the data.

During this interactive workshop we will be asking participants to help us imagine the future of your neighborhood. Using a combination of exercises and discussion we’ll create a draft Vision Statement that will serve as a north star for the rest of our planning work.
