Solar power!

One thing that makes me happy to see on neighborhood walks is solar panels on neighbors' roofs! :) It fills me with a little spark of joy to see that people are transitioning to a decarbonized future. And I know that home solar panels are a pretty new thing in the overall history of our neighborhood, but I think that they are here to stay and will always be a big part of what makes Northeast Bellevue amazing!

by David F. Plummer, Rockwood The Northeast 'neighborhood' is being overwhelmed by the massive building projects in the Bel-Red area, and along the Bel-Red Road and NE 20th St (e.g., the SummerHill Highland Park project at the SE corner of 140th Ave. NE and NE 20th St.). These projects are changing the visual environment and will degrade the physical environment in the NE Bellevue area. The City should act now to downscale the ruinous zoning adopted for the Bel-Red corridor, and along the north and south sides of the Bel-Red Rod and NE 20th St. from 120th Ave NE to 156th Ave NE.

I have enjoyed my panels for a couple of years now and have enjoyed them immensely because I know I am cutting down my energy use. I am not costing anyone anything for my Tesla. I am getting paid back for the installation in rebates from PSE. In addition, I am reducing the pollution that I am creating for energy usage.
