Multi-Generational Household

My family has lived in Bellevue since 1990, and we moved to Washington in 1987. We lived in Redmond at an apartment. We live in a two generation home. We bought a townhouse in 2002. We would not be able to live here if we not live together and share expenses. None of us could pay for housing alone in this area. I have a visual impairment and have to be near public transit. We need to have housing that is affordable for all income levels, not just the rich. We need to have housing near public transit. We need to preserve our tree canopy. The majority of our paychecks go to housing here on the Eastside. I work at a non-profit. For our clients, so much of what they make goes for housing if they are lucky enough to have housing that they cannot pay for other living expenses.
